Weekly DH Meet-Up: Podcasting 101

Professors Manuel Olmedo Gobante and Rhodora Vennarucci, and Larissa Rocha, studio researcher and teaching assistant of Portuguese, will present the Weekly DH Meet-Up on "Podcasting 101" at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at J.B. Hunt Center room 207.

Olmedo Gobante will discuss the grants that funded the podcasting studio, and participants will hear success stories of the first few students who used the equipment and how both Vennarucci and Olmedo Gobante implemented podcasting into their courses. Then, Rocha will provide an interactive session where attendees will be able to try out the podcasting equipment first-hand, along with a Q&A to follow the workshop. No previous podcast experience is needed to attend the workshop.

The Weekly DH Meet-Up is a series of workshops that demonstrate the intersections of the humanities, pedagogy and digital technology. Workshops alternate on Wednesday mornings from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Thursday afternoons from 3:30-5 p.m. More information is available on the World Languages & Digital Humanities Studio page on the WLLC website.
