Celebrate Novatadas 2023 With the Panamanian Student Organization April 28
Panamanian Student Organization

The Panamanian Student Organization invites U of A students to celebrate Novatadas 2023 starting at 5 p.m. Friday, April 28, in the Union Theatre (ARKU 424). To register for our event, visit Hogsync.uark.edu and search for our event "Novatadas 2023."

Novatadas are a high school contest where one freshman girl is chosen, by luck, to be the queen. Each of our candidates will be represented by a specific color and will be accompanied by their own "tuna," a group of people who is there to support the candidates. By the end of the event, one of them will be coronated as the queen for the following academic year. Since this is our last event of the year, we will also have cultural performances by the dance group Viva Panama, food and more! Students will be able to practice their Spanish with native speakers while enjoying the event, and also learn about Panamanian culture. We encourage everyone to come to our event and bring their friends.

For questions and more information, feel free to follow @psouark on Instagram and Facebook.

Novatadas 2023 is supported by the Student Activities Fee as a funded event by the Associated Student Government and is free to all currently enrolled University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, students who pay the student activities fee. This event is held in a venue that meets ADA standards. Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend this event. If you require a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this event, please contact our president Jorge Rodriguez, jlr080@uark.edu, (479) 301-9912, by five business days prior to the event.
