AWM to Host Girls in STEM Event for Girls Ages 7 to 14
The UARK Student Chapter of the Assocation for Women in Mathematics is hosting a Girls in STEM event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 15, on the fourth floor of the Science and Engineering Building.
The events are intended for girls ages 7 to 14, but all are welcome. Activities include welcome by Shauna Morimoto, chemistry experiments, making jewelry from code, using angles to measure a tree, building a Barbie zip-line and designing a Rube Goldberg machine.
