After more than 12 years at the U of A, Eunice Alberson has accepted a promotional opportunity to serve as associate vice president of Human Resources at another university. The U of A campus community is invited to celebrate Alberson's achievements and to wish her well during a drop-in reception from 1:30-3:30 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 28, in the Arkansas Union, meeting rooms 512-514.

"Eunice has been a tremendous strategic partner and leader as the director of our HR Partners team, and our campus community will miss her greatly," said Michelle Hargis Wolfe, chief people officer. "At the same time, becoming an employer of choice is preparing people to reach new heights in their careers, and Eunice exemplifies that. Even though her next chapter will now be at another university, I'm grateful for Eunice's U of A story, excited for her continued growth and forever grateful for her service to our campus."

In addition to advancing within the HR organization at the U of A, Alberson earned two degrees as a first-generation college graduate while working full-time on campus.

"As my time here comes to a close, and you continue to work on the employee value proposition, words that come to mind to describe my experience are 'gratitude, family, growth, opportunity and impact,'" Alberson said. "My name will forever be etched in stone at my Arkansas home. Twice. When I first arrived in Arkansas, I didn't understand the calling of the Hogs. Now I struggle to see how I will live without it."

Alberson's last day at the U of A will be March 31.
