DEPSCoR Capacity Building Funding Opportunity Strategy Session

On Wednesday, March 29, from 3:30-4:30 pm in MULL 452, the Division of Research and Innovation will host a strategy session to address the recent capacity-building funding opportunity by DEPSCoR. The intention of the meeting is to ascertain campus interest and collect ideas. 

Relevant details:

  • Proposals must be led by a member of the IHE's executive staff such as the vice president for research, who will serve as the team lead.
  • Applications must address one or more of the technical basic research areas outlined in the services (Army Research Office [ARO], Office of Naval Research [ONR] and Air Force Office of Scientific Research [AFOSR]) broad agency announcements (BAA).
  • Intent of this effort is to foster new, strategic, multi-thrust efforts to increase basic research capacity in a DoD-relevant research area.
  • Expecting to award between one to four grants of up to $1.5 million (total cost) each. 
  • Each grant award will be funded up to $750,000 (total cost) per year for two years.
