Faculty Can Celebrate and Recognize Their Faculty Mentors

Do you have an amazing faculty mentor? Do you want to help us celebrate and recognize a faculty mentor who has contributed to your success? The Office for Faculty Affairs calls on non-tenure track, pre-tenure and mid-career faculty members to nominate a faculty mentor to be honored as an outstanding mentor.

Nominations are accepted online throughout the year. Using nominations received by March 30, the Office for Faculty Affairs advisory committee will select outstanding mentors to be recognized during the Faculty Appreciation Reception at 5 p.m. on April 12 at the Janelle Y. Hembree Alumni House.

Outstanding mentors help promote teaching, research and service excellence while encouraging a healthy work-life balance. They demonstrate commitment to fostering mentees' professional development and create avenues for mentee recognition. They cultivate faculty career advancement and belonging, assist mentees in building their professional networks and advocate for their mentees.

Nominate an outstanding mentor today. Visit this page for nomination forms, eligibility guidelines and more information.
