Why Does Religion Matter to Me?
The Muslim Students Association invites all students at the U of A to attend "Why Does Religion Matter to Me?" Friday, Feb. 24, at 5:30 p.m. in Hillside Auditorium room 206.
The Muslim Students Association invites all students at the U of A to attend our latest event discussing the deeper importance of religion. "Why Does Religion Matter to Me?" will be held Friday, Feb. 24, at 5:30 p.m. in Hillside Auditorium room 206, and will be followed by free dinner from Tangiers and boba from BestTeas.
Even as its importance and perception continue to undergo change and shifting significance, religion remains a powerful and transcendental force, molding human behavior and continuing to play a leading role in how societies function around the world. Guest speaker Ameer Hamza has multiple degrees in Islamic studies and currently serves as the imam of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee and the head of CORE, the largest Muslim youth organization in Wisconsin. He will explore the importance of religion and why it should continue to matter today in an increasingly secular world.
This event is supported by the Student Activities Fee as a funded event by the Associated Student Government and is free to all currently-enrolled University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, students who pay the student activities fee.
