Grocery Giveaway will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at the Unity House.

Mark your calendars for noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, from at the Unity House!

The Graduate Professional Student Congress is partnering with the Black Graduate Student Association and the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to provide graduate and professional students with much-needed supplies during this time of year. Due to the heavy mental, emotional and physical burden of working, researching for long intensive hours and dealing with emotional and financial stress, graduate assistants are experiencing severe concerns about their mental health, well-being and professional development. Roughly 64% to 77% of graduate assistants' monthly stipend is reserved for rent.

The aim of the Grocery Giveaway is to diminish the financial burden and combat food insecurity among graduate and professional students during and after winter break by providing 125 food boxes and toiletry bags to graduate and professional students, particularly graduate assistants, at the U of A.

Please RSVP by Dec. 1 to receive a GPSC food box and toiletry bags at the Graduate and Professional Student Grocery Giveaway. For more information, please email GPSC President Dana K. McGee at gpscpres@uark.edu.
