Undergraduate Mock Trial Program Places Second at Bluejay Invitational

The University of Arkansas Undergraduate Mock Trial Team, Team Flamingo, placed second at the Bluejay Invitational at Creighton University on Nov. 5-6. Twenty-one mock trial teams from across the country traveled to compete in Omaha, Nebraska.

Team Flamingos had an overall record of going 7-1 that weekend. Cameron Willis also received 19 ranks for his role as a witness, one point shy of a perfect score. Jared Presley received 18 ranks for his role as an attorney.

Jared Presley said of the event "It has really made me feel like I could be a good attorney in the future."

Team Flamingos are led by co-captains Cameron Willis and Jacinda Montgomery and are coached by Charles Duell. Members of Team Flamingos are: Jared Presley, Noah Maher, Marlen Cuellar, Bryce Mitsdarfer, Clair Lawrence, Hayden Foster, Kersting, Madalyn Acton, and Homero Ruiz.

The University of Arkansas Mock Trial team is a trial simulation-based RSO that competes in tournaments across the country. Tryouts are held at the beginning of each fall semester.
