Weekly Digital Humanities Meet-Up: VR Experiences for Learning With Global Campus

The next meeting of the Weekly Digital Humanities Meet-Up takes place from 2-3 p.m. this Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the World Languages and Digital Humanities Studio, J.B. Hunt room 207.

The Weekly DH Meet-Up alternates between Wednesdays from 2-3 p.m. and Thursdays from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the World Languages and Digital Humanities Studio. The meet-up will explore the intersection of digital technology and humanist thought in both theoretical and practical applications. The DH Meet-Up strives to establish an interdisciplinary and diverse constellation of educators and researchers, students and faculty, across the U of A campus, as we probe and interrogate what the digital humanities mean today.

On Nov. 9, Global Campus's Alicia Estes and Lesley Speller will demonstrate a spectrum of VR Experiences for Learning. As this is a hands-on experience, refreshments will not be provided for technology safety reasons.

For more information, contact Curtis Maughan, director of the World Languages and Digital Humanities Studio, at cmaughan@uark.edu or Cheyenne Roy, assistant director of the studio, at ceroy@uark.edu.
