Veritas Forum on Building Consilience Between Science and Faith
Join us for a Veritas Forum discussing nascent gene-editing technologies and their ethical implications for humans. The forum — Science and Faith: Considering the Promise and Peril of Human Control Over Biology — will be run from 6:30-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at the Faulkner Performing Arts Center.
Josiah Leong, assistant professor in psychological science at U of A, will moderate a discussion with Dr. William Hurlbut, adjunct professor in neurobiology at Stanford University. Hurlbut also completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at Stanford University, and he served for eight years on President George W. Bush's Council on Bioethics.
The event is free of charge, all are welcome, and snacks will be provided.
