Twenty Questions to Answer Before You Apply to Graduate School
The Multicultural Center is excited to partner with the Student Success Center to bring Justin Grimes to campus at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, in the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Enterprise Development.
The center has purchased books to give away to all who attend this event. You don't want to miss out!
Our society is filled with many people with the desire and skills to pursue a graduate degree but no plan to get started with applying. This book will aid you in answering all the questions you have and ones you didn't consider before you apply to graduate school. You will learn about the application process, what materials you need to submit with your application, funding your degree, narrowing down where to pursue a graduate degree, questions to ask recruiters and more. The goal is for you to feel informed and ready to apply to the graduate program of your dreams.

Born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, Grimes developed a commitment to equity, storytelling and service. He completed his bachelor's degree in computer information systems with a minor in African American studies and master's degree in workforce development education with an emphasis on human resource education, all from the U of A, and he completed his Ph.D. in counseling and student personnel services (college student affairs administration) at the University of Georgia.
Grimes has more than 12 years of experience working in student and academic affairs, teaching, customer service, recruitment and consulting. As a scholar, Justin's research centers on mentorship, successful dissertation completion strategies, the impact of racism on college students, motivation, and embracing identity and differences. He has received several awards both as a student and professional for outstanding leadership, service and mentorship.
