The Campus Sexual and Relationship Violence Center, a unit of Student Life in the Division of Student Affairs, is pleased to announce the recent national certification of Certified Advocate for Ngoc Dai, SRVC administrative specialist.

Dai completed 40 hours of required training of the credentialing process overseen by the National Advocate Credentialing Program for certification at the first level of certification. In addition, she also completed 30 hours of training that focused specific to campus sexual violence.

"I look forward to being a safe and confidential resource for students as well as advancing the availability of advocacy services on campus," Dai said. "As another victim advocate at the SRVC, we are able to better meet the needs of a growing student population."

"We are proud of the dedication and effort that Ngoc Dai demonstrates daily. Her recent achievement of certification enhances the SRVC services, as well as provides another excellent certified victim advocate for our students. Such certification shows commitment to our students."

With the addition of Dai's latest certification, the SRVC now has two nationally certified victim advocates. Wyandt-Hiebert is also nationally certified through the National Advocate Credentialing Program at the advanced level (requires a minimum of 15,600 hours of experience in addition to required trainings) and has additional recognized specialty areas of Sexual Assault and Campus Advocacy.

"Supporting certified staff is another way for the university to show its commitment toward our students and the addressing of sexual and relationship violence," said Monica Holland, assistant vice chancellor for student life. "The SRVC provides many advocacy services to assist students at one of the most difficult times of their lives. With staff who are nationally certified victim advocates, the SRVC raises the standard of campus victim advocacy."

The Campus Sexual and Relationship Center provides confidential advocacy services for victims/survivors of sexual and relationship violence at no cost.
