Auditions for Schola Cantorum Aug. 22 and 23

The Schola Cantorum will host open auditions for the 2021-22 academic year. All students are welcome and eligible, regardless of class or major. 

Auditions will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 22 and 23, in MUSC 332. Students may sign up for an audition outside the choral rehearsal room, MUSC 335, at any time. Scholarships are available to exceptionally talented singers. Email questions to Stephen Caldwell, director of the Schola Cantorum, at stephenc@uark.edu

This academic year the Schola Cantorum will record a world premiere studio album, tour the state for the holidays and perform the Arkansas premiere of Considering Matthew Shepard, one of the most significant works of choral music written in the 21st century.
