Summer Flex Schedule Pilot Nears Midpoint, Employees Asked to Complete Survey

Since late May, many university employees have been able to participate in the pilot project for flexible work schedules, including hybrid and compressed. As the pilot passes its midpoint, all employees will be asked to complete a survey on their experiences with the pilot to date. The survey link will be distributed on July 13 through Workday announcements and will be open through July 19. Campus will be surveyed again after the pilot concludes on Aug. 8.

The summer pilot is the result of the work of the Remote and Flexible Work Taskforce, which is analyzing how changing attitudes about workplace flexibility impact the university. The survey focuses on both individual experiences with different schedules as well as perceptions about the pilot's impact on campus. The taskforce will review the survey results and developments in higher education's use of flexible work before making recommendations about the topic to the administration in late summer.

All employees are encouraged to take the survey and can find the link to it in Workday announcements.
