Retirement Reception Set for Florence Johnson, Leader of University Housing

Join us later this month to celebrate the career of Florence Johnson as assistant vice-chancellor for University Housing.

Known to most as "Flo," she is retiring from her role leading University Housing after 32 years with the office. 

The reception will be held from 3-4:30 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at Adohi Hall, 187 South Stadium Drive, in the community building known as "The Cabin."

Johnson started with University Housing in May 1990 as a work study undergraduate at Carlson Terrace. She held formative roles in marketing and conferences and residence education before leading the Housing Office starting in 2011. 

Takama Statton-Brooks will assume the role of interim vice chancellor for University Housing. Statton-Brooks previously served as the director of residence education which oversees community life for more than 6,000 residential students.
