Graduate Assistants at U of A Needed for Study on Use of Large Computer Monitors
Kaitlin Gallagher

Researchers are enrolling for a new study that will look at large computer monitors. To participate, you must currently be a graduate assistant at the U of A between 18-35 years old, with normal or corrected-to-normal vision and who currently uses and is proficient with a Windows-based computer. We are recruiting graduate assistants since many of your roles include extensive computer usage and familiarity with the computer systems in our study.

You will not be able to participate in this study if you have had a previous eye disease, upper-body injury, whiplash or concussion, chronic headaches or migraines, a history of dizziness/fainting, or previous neck, upper back or low back pain that required more than three days off from regular activities.

You will be asked to come to the Exercise Science Research Center on the U of A campus for one three-hour session. Once you read over the information form and provide informed consent, you will have sensors placed on your head, neck and back to monitor your posture during two and a half hours of standardized computer tasks.

You will receive compensation for your participation in this study.

For more information, contact: ergo@uark.edu.

If you are interested in participating, please use our Calendly link below to pick a day and time to participate. If one of the times *almost* works for you (i.e., you can come in at 8:30 or 9:30 a.m. but not 9 a.m.), pick the closest time and write in the comment box about the time you'd like to start; we'll adjust accordingly.

This study is conducted under the direction of Kaitlin Gallagher, Ph.D. The University of Arkansas Institutional Review Board (IRB) approved this protocol for human subjects in research.
