Greek 1003, offered this coming fall, will present the basics of ancient Greek grammar, vocabulary and syntax, preparing students to read original texts of Plato, Homer, Herodotus, the New Testament, Plutarch and much more. Find out firsthand the real meanings behind important texts of philosophy, epic, tragedy, comedy, religion and history.

Improve your English vocabulary and learn the origins of thousands of words that you already know. Taught by award-winning professor Daniel Levine, this course counts towards the Classical Studies major and minor and fulfills the first semester world language requirement for all majors that require language proficiency. In addition, the third semester of ancient Greek fulfills the U of A state minimum core humanities requirement for most majors.
