Submitted by Alpha Phi Alpha

The Kappa Kappa chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. cordially invites students, faculty and staff to attend their annual Midnight BBQ starting at 10:06 p.m. today, Thursday, April 28, at the U of A NPHC Gardens. The NPHC Gardens is located on the hill directly across from the Razorback fountain and football stadium. This event is open to U of A students.

The Kappa Kappa chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. has hosted its annual Midnight BBQ for several years at the U of A. The purpose of this event is to incorporate both educational and social components of student life on campus. Educationally, this event's purpose directly correlates with the mission statement of the fraternity, which states: "Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. develops leaders, promotes brotherhood, and academic excellence while providing service and advocacy for our communities."

They plan to not only enjoy the social aspects of this event, which will bring together students in order to foster meaningful relationships that will promote diversity, inclusivity and networking. Additionally, this event will allow us to represent and further educate the campus community about the significance of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), Alpha Phi Alpha and the Kappa Kappa chapter. NPHC and its Divine Nine (D9) organizations are historically important to world history, economics, culture and influence within every realm possible.

This event is supported by the Student Activities Fee as a funded event by the Associated Student Government and is free to all currently enrolled University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, students who pay the student activities fee. For questions about the event or for accommodations due to disability, please contact Ambrose Gammon, at angammon@uark.edu, or call 479-575-5255.
