Research Participants Needed for Study of Reading and Empathy
Members of the campus community are invited to participate in a two-part research study examining the relationship between reading and empathy.
The first part of the study involves completing a task designed to measure empathy, a questionnaire about reading habits and some demographic questions. It should take less than 30 minutes, and you will be paid $5 for your time.
The second part of the study — to be completed about one week after the first part — involves reading a short text, doing the empathy task again and completing one other questionnaire about empathy. It should take less than 60 minutes, and you will be paid $10 for your time.

A research assistant will contact you to verify your eligibility and to schedule times for you to participate. Study appointments are available a variety of times during the week. The study will take place in Memorial Hall, near the Pi Beta Phi Gate on Maple Street.
