Are you passionate about teaching and student learning? Do you relish working with a team of innovative pedagogical leaders on campus? Co-directing the Wally Cordes Teaching Faculty Support Center may be your destiny!

Directors serve staggered three-year terms, and Don Johnson, University Professor of agricultural education, communication and technology, will finish his term as co-director this summer. Lynn Meade, Department of Communication, and Carole Shook, Department of Information Systems, will continue their service. The TFSC and Faculty Affairs are seeking a dynamic individual who models teaching excellence and effective leadership to join the team. Preference is for a tenured faculty member, but any full-time faculty member is eligible to apply. The directorship comes with an extra comp or course buyout package and summer funds.

Please send a letter of application to Kathy Sloan, vice provost for faculty affairs, at facdev@uark.edu. Your letter should state why you are interested in co-leading the TFSC, what unique experiences or talents you would bring to the role and a statement of how you would foster teaching inclusiveness at the U of A. Attach a CV to the letter of application. Application letters are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 29.

About the TFSC: The Wally Cordes Teaching and Faculty Support Center at the University of Arkansas was established in 1992 to assist the faculty with their scholarship of teaching and to act as a resource center for new teaching techniques and programs. Wally Cordes (CHBC), Ro DiBrezzo (HHPR), and Paul Cronan (ISYS) were co-founders.
