Commit to Well is a campuswide incentive challenge hosted by UARK Wellness and University Recreation that begins on Feb.1. The purpose of the challenge is to encourage the U of A community to explore the wide variety of wellness opportunities around campus while focusing on the eight dimensions of wellness. The eight dimensions are social, environmental, occupational, spiritual, financial, emotional, intellectual and physical.

Participants earn points for doing any type of physical activity and completing a variety of wellness challenges. The fitness and wellness points earned will determine the prizes awarded at the completion of the challenge.

"Participation in the challenge motivated me to get back in to a routine of being physically active and taking care of my overall wellness," said Pam Heinzel, administrative support supervisor. "I am grateful that this incentive program is offered each year!"

Participants may sign up for the challenge and log the completion of the fitness and wellness activities beginning, Feb. 1. at fitevent.uark.edu or urec.uark.edu/fitness/special-events.

"This event is free and open to all university faculty, staff and students," said Casey Fant, assistant director of fitness wellness for UREC. "We want to encourage and promote health and wellness across the campus community."

More information regarding UARK Wellness can be found at wellness.uark.edu, which serves as an outreach tool and resource bank for the campus community.
