Elaine Terrell, longtime instructional designer at the Global Campus, is retiring in her 23rd year with the U of A.

An online farewell reception for Terrell, a curriculum designer for student success, will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. today, Jan. 21. Well-wishers can attend virtually.

Today is Terrell's last day.

"It is impossible to discuss the evolution of online learning on the University of Arkansas campus without including the contributions of Dr. Elaine Terrell," said Cheryl Murphy, U of A vice provost for distance education. "She was the very first instructional designer hired at Global Campus, and for 22-plus years she has been an innovator, leader and champion of online education. Please join me on Jan. 21 to celebrate the impactful career of Dr. Terrell and to wish her well as she moves forward to the next chapter of her life."
