Self-Report Positive COVID-19 Test Results Including Home Tests
Reporting positive COVID-19 test results remains a critical part of the university’s ability to monitor, evaluate and respond to the coronavirus situation on campus. Students, faculty and staff should continue to use the university’s online reporting form to self-report positive COVID-19 test results conducted off campus — including self tests conducted at home.
REPORT OFF-CAMPUS AND HOME TESTS
If you were tested off campus or conducted a self test at home and receive a positive result, it is extremely important that you self-report your positive test result as soon as possible.
Please use the university’s COVID-19 Self-Reporting Form to submit your positive case result. A quick link to the form is also highlighted at the top of the university’s COVID-19 Response site.
The U of A Emergency Management division tracks positive cases on campus and ensures all positive case reports are provided to the appropriate personnel on and off-campus.
DON’T SELF-REPORT FOR ON-CAMPUS TESTS
If you are tested at Pat Walker Health Center, or through other university-affiliated testing conducted on campus, and receive a positive result, your result will be reported to appropriate personnel on your behalf. So, no need to self-report.
QUARANTINE AND ISOLATION GUIDANCE
The university's quarantine and isolation guidance remains unchanged at this time. While the CDC recently updated its COVID-19 isolation and quarantine guidance for the general public, it has not yet announced updated isolation and quarantine guidance for colleges and universities. The guidance for colleges and universities may be different than the guidance for the general public due to the fact that institutions of higher learning include shared living spaces on campus.
With this in mind, the Arkansas Department of Health continues to recommend 10 days of isolation for members of the university community who test positive for COVID-19. ADH anticipates an update from the CDC soon and plans to adjust its guidance as appropriate, but at least until then, the university’s guidance remains unchanged for COVID-19 isolation and quarantine.
