As the University of Arkansas celebrates its 150th year, the Wally Cordes Teaching and Faculty Support Center wants to visit the spirit of learning from the best. Join us from noon to 1:15 p.m. Dead Day, Dec. 10, as we hear from Marlon Blackwell (architecture), the 2020 SEC Professor of the Year Overall Winner; Jeffrey Murdock (music), the 2021 Grammy Music Educator of the Year; Anne Velliquette (marketing), the 2019 Arkansas Alumni Association Outstanding Rising Professor; and Kate Walker (biological sciences), the 2021 John C. Park National Technology Leadership Initiative Fellowship teaching award winner for a project created with a grant from the TFSC.

In a session meant to remember our history as a university, we'll think back to students in 1912 who went on strike in part based on a desire for all professors to have care and commitment to outstanding teaching, and we'll learn how these stellar educators are creating a lasting impact on students today.

Reserve your seat or select remote attendance. Please RSVP by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 1, if you will be attending in person and would like to order lunch.
