Asian Pacific Americans Employee Impact Group for Faculty and Staff Seeks Interested Members

The Asian Pacific Americans (APA) Employee Impact Group's goal is to be the "go-to" resource for faculty and staff who wish to engage in issues related to diversity, equity and inclusion of the APA communities. APA is not only open to all faculty and staff who identify as Asian, Asian American or Pacific Islander, but allies are also welcome! Our Employee Impact Group will work to provide equal access and opportunities to APA employees by aiming to strengthen dialog and address issues facing these communities.

The APA Employee Impact Group is dedicated to making the U of A the best place for Asians, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders to fulfill their career aspirations while maintaining their cultural identity. We provide support for university's APA employees to accomplish the mission of teaching, research and service through strengthening diversity, fostering community and improving retention of students, faculty and staff. APA aims to develop inclusive leaders to educate, engage and support the university and strategic initiatives of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. We plan to provide social networking, professional development and cultural events in the upcoming year.
