The One Book One Community Committee here on campus is entering a new era, and the committee is looking for new members.

Students (undergraduate and graduate), faculty, and staff are welcome. This is a great way to provide service to the university and its students.

The committee selects a book/author to speak at a public lecture on campus each year. The committee encourages campus and community members to read the book and attend the lecture each fall. We are beginning our discussions for the book/author for fall 2022.

This project is funded through the Chancellor's Fund and has had a great impact on the campus.

Past authors have included Bryan Stevenson, Angie Thomas, and chef Edward Lee, who spoke just a few weeks ago.

More information about past events, authors and resources can be found on the One Book, One Community website.

If you love to read, want to get engaged on campus, and/or want to make a positive impact, please email either Lauren Sabon at copley@uark.edu or Katie Powell at klw038@uark.edu. The committee meets 4-5 times a year for book selection and event planning.
