Arkansas Union Offers Free Fall Conference

The Arkansas Union invites any interested students, faculty or staff at the U of A to participate for free in the virtual Association of College Unions International (ACUI) Region II & V Joint Conference this Oct. 22-23. This entirely-online conference experience will bring together participants from 13 states in the central region of the country.

Typical educational session topics include student leadership, campus activities, space design and management, team development, social justice and other topics related to building and maintaining diverse, active communities on campus. Educational session submissions are also encouraged and are due by Sept. 7.

"The Arkansas Union is pleased to once again offer this conference to the entire campus, for free," said Rob Stagni, director of the Arkansas Union. "It's our hope that folks around the university will take this final opportunity to attend a few educational sessions and have some great ideas to bring to their respective units, all for absolutely no cost." Previously, the conference has cost upt to $250 per person, but the Union has once again paid this year's institutional registration, resulting in a free opportunity for the entire campus. The U of A hosted the in-person ACUI Region II Conference in 2019 and paid for campus-wide registrations in 2020 as well.

Any interested parties must register for the conference using their UARK email address, although they will not be charged for attending. Information about the conference, including educational program submissions, relevant dates and educational information, can be found at the ACUI regional conference website.
