Community Music Programs Offered for Fall
Community Music School (CMS) fall programs are now open. This semester, we have something for everyone, from age 3 to 103. Whether you are brand-new to expressing yourself musically or ready to stretch yourself in new skills and directions, CMS is here to help you find your voice. - Children's Choir (Sept. 7 - May 5)
- Now in two locations: U of A Campus and Bentonville - all singing voices welcome - grades 2 - 12 - meets weekly in person - auditions end Sept. 1
- Jazz Blues Ensemble (Sept. 7 - Dec. 7)
- Group class to learn essentials - intergenerational, for ages 11 to adult - meets weekly - in-person and online options - all instruments welcome - no audition required
- Jazz Repertoire Ensemble (Sept. 7 - Dec. 7)
- Intergenerational group class - ages 11 to adult - advanced-level - meets weekly - in-person or online - all instruments welcome
- AR Gospel Chorale (Sept. 9 - Dec. 9)
- Community choir featuring Black Gospel music - open to all singers ages 16 to adult - no audition required - directed by Grammy Music Educator of the Year Dr. Jeffrey Murdock - meets weekly in person
- BaZOOMing with Dr. Uribe (Sept. 14 - Dec. 7)
- Monthly discussions for bassoonists of all ages and skill levels - meets online
- Musical Foundations (Sept. 27 - Nov. 15)
- Group class for ages 3 - 5 - meets weekly in person - preparation for private study on any instrument
- AR Woodwind & Horn Workshop (Oct. 30)
- Halloween edition! Day of woodwind and French horn learning and performance - grades 6 - 12 - in person
- AR All-Region Band Clinics (Dec. 4)
- Free audition preparation clinics - junior and senior high band students - led by U of A faculty
- Private Lessons: Traditional or Suzuki Method
- Start any time - instructors matched to your goals and level - lessons in person or online

The Community Music School is housed in the Department of Music. We provide high-quality music instruction for students of all ages and ability levels in both individual and group formats through year-round, non-credit, music making opportunities.
