Bike Month Challenge Final Week: U of A Lead Slowed by Rain, Regaining Speed
It’s the fourth and final week of the Bike Month challenge, and the U of A is barely holding on to first place!
Due to the rain, the U of A lost more than 1,200 points this past week, but now that the weather has cleared up a bit, challenge participants are back in the saddle and jostling for first.
Go Hogs!
The university needs your help to win this thing! With one more week left in the challenge, you can help the university reclaim the lead by participating the in the challenge, riding your bicycle and encouraging your friends and colleagues to do the same.
About Bike Month
May is National Bike Month! A month-long, fun and free, community and workplace challenge designed to get people to ride their bikes!
Throughout May, there are weekly and overall challenges for participants to compete, win prizes and top the leaderboards.
U of A College Competition Heating Up: Engineering and Business Neck and Neck
As of the end of the third week of the Bike Month Challenge, Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences is still leading the college competition with 38 participants, up 14 from last week. Battling for second place, the College of Engineering picked up 11 new participants, moved ahead of the Sam M. Walton College of Business late in the week and now leads by almost 100 miles! All combined, the U of A community has logged almost 10,000 mile since the challenge started on May 1.
