Make Your Gift - And Vote - Count in the Annual Giving Decades Challenge

The Annual Fund at the University of Arkansas encourages you to cast your vote for your favorite decade as a part of the university's 150th anniversary celebration. The Decades Challenge, a giving drive to support colleges and units at the university, allows participants to pay homage to their decade of choice while giving back to their favorite academic area or program.

Through May 8, all gifts made to the U of A will count toward the challenge, and donors can cast their vote for their favorite decade. With the Decades Challenge, participants aren't limited to the decade they graduated in — they can support any decade that resonates with them while also giving back to help students, faculty, staff and programs.

"Our faculty, staff and students are some of our most generous supporters each year," said Lizzie Johnson, director of annual giving. "The Decades Challenge is the perfect opportunity for them to get involved in making a difference at the university by supporting their favorite college or unit. This challenge also provides our alumni and friends with a philanthropic opportunity to give back in honor of the sesquicentennial while looking forward to the future."

Since its founding in 1871, the U of A has changed the lives of hundreds of thousands of students across the decades but needs philanthropic support to help to ensure the next 150 years are even more successful. Visit decadeschallenge.uark.edu to make a gift and view the Decades Challenge leaderboard today. The winning decade will be revealed through a fun email announcement this summer.
