Conversation Series With Dhu Thompson, Founder of Delta Plastics

The Arkansas Global Changemakers Initiative and U of A Graduate Net Impact Chapter are proud to partner with the Department of Finance at the Sam M. Walton College of Business to continue their Conversation Series with Dhu Thompson, founder of Delta Plastics, on "The Business Story of Delta Plastics and Sustainability."

Dhu Thompson is the founder, former owner and past chairman of the board of Delta Plastics. Delta Plastics is a manufacturer of poly irrigation tubing for the agricultural industry. They are also the largest recycler of plastic in the state of Arkansas, producing Post Consumer Resin for both internal use and other industries. Thompson is also the former owner and past chairman of Revolution Bag, a manufacturer of EPA compliant trash can liners.

Thompson and Delta Plastics are the recipients of Arkansas Business of the Year (2003 and 2010), Corporate Conservationist of the Year, Keep Arkansas Beautiful Award, Keep America Beautiful Award, SBA Person of the Year for 2004 and Arkansas Business Executive of the Year.

Thompson graduated from Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe with a B.A. in liberal arts. Thompson is also a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Banking in Baton Rouge.

The meeting will take place from 3-4 p.m., Monday, April 19, via Zoom. Participants can register for the event.
