Calling All Lovers of Language and Music

In conjunction with the U of A's newly launched Language and Culture Series celebrating and sharing language, culture, customs and more with the campus and our surrounding community, the Arabic Program will host a virtual concert by Layaali Arabic Music Ensemble at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 15.

The concert will be followed by a Q & A and discussion with members of the band about Arabic music.

The Language and Culture Series is part of the university's commitment to its diversity and inclusion priorities and generally aligns with the recognized spring and fall heritage months through November 2021.

While the events are free and open to the public, participating U of A students can download a virtual passport to track their attendance at events. Upon completing events, students will be entered to win various prizes, including e-gift cards to Walmart and Amazon and the Language and Culture Series t-shirts.

We invite all students, faculty and staff to join us for this virtual concert and discussion.

Pre-registration is required! It's free!
