International Studies Honor Society Holds First Induction Ceremony

The first induction ceremony of Sigma Iota Rho, Honor Society for International Studies, at the University of Arkansas took place on April 9, 2021. 

Associate Director of the International and Global Studies Program Thomas Adam welcomed 25 outstanding INST students as new members of Sigma Iota Rho. 

Sigma Iota Rho was founded in 1989 in Washington D.C. with the goal of promoting and rewarding scholarship and service among students and practitioners of international studies, and to foster integrity and creative performance in the conduct of world affairs.

The induction ceremony was preceded by a research talk by Martin Nekola from University of Prague who discussed exile and refuge in post-war Czechoslovakia.

The talk was attended by undergraduate and graduate students and faculty.
