Andrew Brown to Give Virtual Seminars on Nutrition, Childhood Obesity
Andrew W. Brown, assistant professor of applied health science at the Indiana University School of Public Health, will give two virtual seminars this week about research into nutrition and childhood obesity.
The seminars are being presented by Arkansas Children's Research Institute and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in partnership with the U of A's Community and Family Institute in the Department of Sociology and Criminology.
Brown, an expert in research integrity and science communication, particularly with respect to nutrition and obesity research, will give two virtual seminars via Zoom:
- Tuesday, April 6, noon to 1:30 p.m. — "Strengthening and clarifying causal inference in childhood obesity research (and beyond)"
- Friday, April 9, 2-3:30 p.m. — "Issues with data and analyses: Errors, underlying themes, and potential solutions"
