The opening reception for the U of A Museum's community exhibition Bring Your Own Artifact: Razorback Spirit will be held at 6 p.m. today, April 12, via Zoom.

The University Museum preserves three-dimensional artifacts representing the university's history, such as the university's very first computer, commencement gowns and architectural features from campus buildings.

In celebration of the U of A's 150th anniversary in 2021, this exhibition provides an outlet for the campus community to share personal objects, find commonalities in each other's stories and explore the museum collections. Earlier this semester, the museum made a call for the public to submit artifacts that were representative of their U of A experience. Submissions closed last Monday, and all artifacts are now available to view.

The exhibition's opening reception is an opportunity to celebrate and highlight what the community has shared. All who submitted are invited to speak about their objects if they wish. Those who did not submit are encouraged to attend and share their own stories as well. The museum will also feature a special selection of university artifacts within the collections.

To attend, register for the Zoom event here.
