Have you ever wanted to visit Pompeii? Are you curious about what it would feel like to navigate through an ancient Roman house?

The Virtual Pompeii Project, created by the university's Tesseract Center for Immersive Environments and Game Design, is looking for people within the U of A community to playtest online 3D models of Roman houses from Pompeii.

The test takes about 40 minutes and involves playing through a scenario that features four different virtual reconstructions of houses from Pompeii, followed by a survey that asks questions about your experience.

All responses are optional and anonymous and any data collected will be used by the project for research purposes only. By participating, you will help us better understand how space and decoration worked together to shape patterns of movement and interaction in the Roman house.

Go to this link to participate in the test. If you have any questions about the test or the project, please email us at tesseract.interactive@gmail.com or visit our website.
