February Virtual Cordes Chair Event

Marcia Imbeau
University Relations

Marcia Imbeau

Join the Wally Cordes Teaching and Faculty Support Center for an informal conversation about teaching with the February Cordes Chairperson, Marcia Imbeau, from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24.

The topic of discussion will be Promoting Student Voice by Creating Choice. As a rule, all of us are more motivated and interested in completing a task when we have some say in the work. So, what are some strategies we can use in our teaching that can give students a voice in their assignments? In this presentation, Imbeau will share a few instructional strategies she has used in her classes to generate choices for student assignments. There will be time at the end for you to ask questions and to share your best instructional strategies.

Boxed lunches are being offered to those that will be on campus during the presentation

Please click here to RSVP. All faculty are welcome! Be sure to select the type of boxed lunch you would like. Please RSVP by noon Tuesday, Feb. 16. Let Lori know if you have any special dietary needs.

If you plan to attend but will not need a meal, please indicate this on your RSVP form. You will receive an email before the event with the information for joining the presentation, as well as the time and location for your lunch pick up.
