After a successful launch in spring 2020, the M.B.A. Programs Office at Walton College is again hosting a preview day for prospective graduate students interested in obtaining a Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Arkansas. Due to local, state and federal guidelines, the event will be held via Zoom and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. CST Friday, March 12.

Attendees will learn about what to expect as a business graduate student and will hear from current Walton M.B.A. students who will give them a glimpse into a typical day in the full-time M.B.A. Program. Representatives from corporate partners who have hired Walton M.B.A. students for internships and full-time positions will give an overview of opportunities available for students in the program and to answer questions.

To mimic one of the most important M.B.A. program components, students will be placed into teams and compete in a case competition for a chance to win $500 to be divided equally among team members. Students will read about real-world business problems, debate and then align on a solution. Students from non-business backgrounds are encouraged to attend.

"Preview Day is a great opportunity to see what the Walton M.B.A. program has to offer and whether it may be a good fit for students and their career goals," said Julie Storing, associate director of M.B.A. recruitment. "Even though this is a virtual event, we will still provide plenty of opportunities to allow attendees to connect with current students, staff and faculty."

The M.B.A. Programs Office will deliver free lunch to all attendees. The deadline to register is Wednesday, March 10, at 5 p.m.
