Seven Receive Fall 2020 Graduate-Professional Student Congress Research Grants

The Graduate-Professional Student Congress Research Council is excited to announce and congratulate the recipients of the Fall 2020 GPSC Research Grant.

The grants are made possible in part through the generous donation of funds by the Office of Research and Innovation and are the result of a multiyear collaboration between that office and GPSC. Each grant is $1,500 and is designed to assist a graduate student in any aspect of their research. They are biannually awarded and open to applicants each spring and fall semesters.

Thirty applications were received during the fall semester. Research topics represented well the many departments and diverse research interests across campus, and while each application was excellent, the following recipients demonstrated best their work's impact and implications.

  • Ashly Romero, Department of Anthropology
  • Alicia Johnson, Sam M. Walton College of Business
  • Christina Barnes, Department of Psychological Sciences
  • Heather Parks, Department of Sociology and Criminology
  • Ji Li, Department of Rehabilitation, Human Resources, and Communication Disorders
  • Joshua Porter, Department of Anthropology
  • Sarah Campau, Department of Curriculum and Instruction

The GPSC Research Grants for the Spring 2021 semester will open in February 2021. Details regarding the application process will be available on the GPSC Research Council website at gpsc.uark.edu/research.
