Italian American Studies Association Presents 'Queering the Italian Diaspora'

The Italian American Studies Association will present "Queering the Italian Diaspora" at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, via Zoom.

Ryan Calabretta-Sajder, assistant professor of Italian in the Department of World Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the U of A will lecture on "The Celluloid Closet: Sex, Power, and Coming Out Repression of the Italian American Closet."

Domenico Beneventi, associate professor in the Department of Arts, Languages and Literatures, University of Sherbrooke, will lecture on "Creative Spaces: Queer and Italian Canadian."
