Freshman Leadership Forum Selected for 2020-21
The Associated Student Government recently selected the 2020-21 Freshman Leadership Forum members. This group will have the opportunity to participate in government simulations, community service projects, and a first-class mentorship program to learn more about student leadership. The forum meets bi-weekly at 5:30 p.m. every Wednesday to experience professional development workshops and discuss the importance and nuances of leadership.
Freshman Leadership Forum exists to educate and engage freshmen in the process of shared governance at the University of Arkansas. Members develop leadership skills and increase awareness of diversity in order to effectively represent fellow students in the future. They learn the operations of ASG through interactive educational programming, serving in multiple roles within the organization, and intentional networking.
Students who are interested in getting involved with ASG can still apply for the Associate Member Program which begins Sept. 23. Applications are open year-round but students are encouraged to apply by Sept. 18 in order to participate in the full program.
For questions about the Freshman Leadership Forum or how to get involved with Associated Student Government, please contact the Freshman Leadership Forum Coordinator at asgflf@uark.edu. ASG is a program in the Division of Student Affairs.
