Zoom Training Opportunities for Staff
Online Zoom training sessions are offered for university staff at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, and at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10. Staff are welcome to attend either session and can register at the Employee Professional Development calendar. A link to a virtual Microsoft Teams meeting will be provided 24 hours in advance.
In the 90-minute session, staff members will learn how to set up Zoom meetings, add attendees, and practice using in-meeting tools. The sessions are offered through a partnership with IT Services and Global Campus and will be co-facilitated by Kathryn Zawisza, director of academic technology and innovation, and Shelly Walters, associate director of instructional design and support services.
About Zoom at the U of A: In August, the University of Arkansas purchased an enterprise license of Zoom. Students, faculty and staff can join and schedule Zoom meetings for up to 300 participants. IT Services has created a resource page for Zoom, covering topics including joining a meeting, scheduling and hosting meetings, as well as information on large events.
