Faculty Earn Remote/Hybrid Teaching Commendations

The Wally Cordes Teaching and Faculty Support Center (TFSC) recently recognized 46 faculty members who completed the TFSC Remote/Hybrid Teaching Commendation program during summer 2020.

To earn the commendation, these faculty completed required online modules in Learning to Teach Online, Teaching with Technology, and Teaching Online: Synchronous Classes, and additional modules selected from Teaching Technical Skills Through Videos, Learning How to Increase Learner Engagement, Teaching Techniques: Creating Effective Learning Assessments, and Learning How to Write a Syllabus.

In addition, each participant wrote a reflection paper on one of the modules and participated in an online discussion about remote/hybrid teaching. The objective of the 8-10-hour program was to assist faculty in delivering high-quality learning experiences for students enrolled in remote and hybrid courses.

The mission of the Wally Cordes Teaching and Faculty Support Center is to assist the faculty with their scholarship of teaching and to act as a resource center for new teaching techniques and programs.
