Faculty Earn Remote/Hybrid Teaching Commendations
The Wally Cordes Teaching and Faculty Support Center (TFSC) recently recognized 46 faculty members who completed the TFSC Remote/Hybrid Teaching Commendation program during summer 2020.
To earn the commendation, these faculty completed required online modules in Learning to Teach Online, Teaching with Technology, and Teaching Online: Synchronous Classes, and additional modules selected from Teaching Technical Skills Through Videos, Learning How to Increase Learner Engagement, Teaching Techniques: Creating Effective Learning Assessments, and Learning How to Write a Syllabus.
In addition, each participant wrote a reflection paper on one of the modules and participated in an online discussion about remote/hybrid teaching. The objective of the 8-10-hour program was to assist faculty in delivering high-quality learning experiences for students enrolled in remote and hybrid courses.
