University of Arkansas students with demonstrated financial need can apply for a loaner laptop for the fall semester. Applications for the program are being accepted now, and priority consideration deadline is this Sunday, Aug. 30.

Approximately 200 laptops are available through this partnership between IT Services and the Division of Student Affairs. The program is open to all undergraduate and graduate students who have a demonstrated financial need.

"Access to technology is even more critical during this season of remote and hybrid learning," interim Provost Charles Robinson said. "No student should have to worry about their academic success due to lack of access to a computer."

Selected students will be contacted with instructions to pick up laptops. All equipment must be returned at the end of the semester, either in person or shipped.

Laptop Loan Program applications are being accepted now. The application deadline for priority consideration is Sunday, Aug. 30.

For questions on how to apply, contact Ellen Kinnamon in the Dean of Students Office at 479-575-5004.
