Razorback Transit will begin providing full route service when fall semester classes begin on Monday, Aug. 24. In an effort to continue promoting the health and safety of campus, passengers should be aware of new safety precautions that are in place to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

This semester, Razorback Transit buses will operate at 66 percent capacity (45 riders) to allow for social distancing and a face covering will be required to ride. These guidelines are consistent with the U of A's Return to Campus guide, as well as the Arkansas Department of Health and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

The requirement of face coverings must be adhered to at all times when riding Razorback Transit. The requirement of wearing a face covering must be adhered to when boarding and at all times when riding.

Updated maps and timetables are available at transit.uark.edu.

Paratransit service is also available for eligible individuals who are prevented from accessing fixed route bus service due to their functional capabilities.

Please be mindful of the following if you plan to ride Razorback Transit:

  • Because buses cannot transport as many individuals at one time, it is best to arrive at the bus stop earlier than normal. Use the Passio GO! app to keep track of buses and the latest route information.
  • In situations of capacity limitations, Transit and Parking and the University of Arkansas insists that you comply with the directions of each Razorback Transit driver.
  • Where possible, commuters to campus should park in an area that allows them to walk to their destination on campus. Students who reside on campus should plan to walk to their classes whenever possible. This will allow Razorback Transit to focus on helping commuters who park in areas such as Lot 56 or in the commuter parking area in Lot 99. Check out the campus parking map to identify various parking areas.
  • Razorback Transit will have a daily cleaning schedule for all buses and is sanitizing its buses three times a day.
  • Because of frequent cleaning and more on-demand service, some routes may have a slightly longer wait time.
