Even with there being new safety precautions introduced on campus this semester, Chartwells is so excited to see everyone's faces (and masks) back in the dining locations. As many of you might have questions or concerns on what safety measures are going to be taken throughout the campus restaurants, Chartwells is here for you!

The Food on the Hill team has spent the past few months designing a robust plan to keep U of A students, faculty and staff as safe as possible. The following procedures will apply to all on-campus dining locations:

  • Prior to opening, each staff member will go through COVID-19 training.
  • The team will be wearing masks.
  • Each associate will undergo a daily wellness check prior to shift, which includes a temperature check and series of questions to assess potential symptoms and overall health.
  • The team will be sanitizing frequently, with high-trafficked areas every 30 minutes.
  • Plexiglass barriers will be at all cashier stations and other interaction points.
  • Posters, TV screen messaging, 'This Item Was Sanitized At' stickers and social distancing floor stickers are placed throughout all dining locations.
  • The team will be following the 66% seating capacity guideline stated by the Arkansas Department of Health in order to avoid over-crowding dining areas. You may also enjoy up to 10 friends at large tables.
  • And 110 hand sanitizer battery-powered dispensers have been added across dining locations.

While the Chartwells Dining team is excited to welcome guests back into their restaurants, they ask that you commit to safety too by following the University and state guidelines and wearing a mask whenever you are not enjoying a delicious meal or beverage. As more and more locations open back up, stay informed by following @foodonthehill_ar on social media or visit their website dineoncampus.com/razorbacks. See you soon and Go Hogs!
