Required Data Security and Privacy Training Course for All Staff and Faculty
The University of Arkansas has become a target of cybercriminals using increasingly sophisticated attacks and scams. In fact, the FBI reports online crimes have quadrupled since the coronavirus pandemic began as more organizations operate remotely.
The Data Security and Privacy training course was recently issued to all student employees, faculty and staff. The goal of this course is to make our campus more difficult to target, while aligning our efforts with state and federal regulations. This course will provide a foundation of what data needs protection, threats to this data and how to respond.
The email to complete the course is sent from EVERFI. If you did not receive the email, the training course is available on your EVERFI dashboard. Please complete your training by Sept. 4.
EVERFI allows you to work at your own pace from any computer or tablet. Your progress can be saved for you to return later. EVERFI courses work best with the latest version of Chrome, Firefox or Safari.
In addition to this training course, the university also combats cybercrime by promoting awareness of cybersecurity best practices.
