Faculty Will Now Use Digital Measures to Conduct Annual Review
With faculty data across all university colleges and libraries imported into Digital Measures, University of Arkansas faculty will now use Digital Measures to conduct their 2020 faculty annual review.
Digital Measures is a web-based solution that allows faculty to view, enter and track their teaching, research and service activities. This central repository streamlines the personnel review process, saving time and cost of printing.
With Digital Measures, faculty can record their accomplishments throughout the year in one place as well as customize CVs, update bios with templates for federal grants and generate reports to highlight publications. Digital Measures also allows faculty to run reports on:
- Courses taught in a term
- Credit hours generated
- Dissertation committees they chaired
- And hours spent per term on university service.
Over the past two years, the Digital Measures team entered data from 1,057 faculty members based on their CVs and facilitated 145 faculty training sessions. Digital Measures was implemented by the Office of the Provost in collaboration with IT Services.
"We are thrilled that Digital Measures has now been implemented fully across campus," said Kathryn Sloan, vice provost for faculty affairs. "This tool will be a game-changer for our faculty, helping to better track the impact of their teaching, research and creative endeavors easily and efficiently."
Faculty and administrators can find helpful tips and guides at the improved and updated Digital Measures website. New annual review guides are available to assist faculty as they complete their profiles in preparation for the annual review.
"IT Services is committed to helping the university manage Digital Measures for the faculty annual review process," said Kathryn Zawisza, director of academic technology and innovation. "We will continue to support the university and highlight all the amazing things faculty do for the U of A and the larger community."
Digital Measures Training is available once a month via Microsoft Teams. Faculty can sign up for training with the Digital Measures Training Form. Department and college administrators can request training on an as-needed basis.
