The Department of Music will honor its 2020 graduating class with a virtual ceremony that will be viewable on their YouTube channel, UARK Music, at 6 p.m. this Thursday, May 7.

The program will begin with a recorded number by the Inspirational Chorale, and Ronda Mains, chair of the Department of Music, will give an address. Students will then hear from Roderick Vester, executive director of PRIZM Ensemble.

Additional musical selections will be provided from the University of Arkansas Wind Symphony and the University of Arkansas Collegiate Chorale.

Outstanding Student Awards, Ensemble Awards, Honors Recital Awards, recipients of the Janice Yoes Award for Vocal Excellence, the Presser Foundation Award, and Pi Kappa Lambda Honor Society Induction will then be presented to the graduates, concluding with an introduction of all the department graduates.

Lia Uribe, associate chair of the Department of Music, will close out the ceremony, and then a Senior Slideshow with photos submitted by the graduates of special moments during their time at the University of Arkansas will conclude the night's festivities.

Everyone is invited to watch and encouraged to share, as well as send congratulations to the 2020 class for their achievements.
